This is the 1988 Peregrine Pro in red & white as I received it. I traded this bike for I bike that I already had and did not fit in my collection. I was really happy I was able to add this bike to my collection because if its rarity and original condition. I already removed the white Kenda tires that came with the bike. The cables are shot, the decals are faded, but it is in overall good condition. Most importantly it is complete, it even has the original reflectors.

Here are pictures of the "before" when I disassembled everything and before I cleaned it.

I have cleaned all of the parts and put it back together. I purchased some new cables, which I am not happy with.
I may replace them someday. I also added some Panaracer tires. I found a white layback seat post and a white Peregrine seat.
The seat should be black and I will replace it when I find one. I also found a set of correct pedals in much better
condition than the original ones.
I apologize in advance for the poor light, but it was already dark outside.
These are the original grips and brake levers.

These are the original brakes. I did have to find some replacement pads, and I was lucky enough to find some NOS (yet discolored) Wheel III pads. I cleaned up the wheels and re-packed the bearings. They look pretty good.

Here is the correct style seat in white, along with the correct (new) style seat post. The original seat was black, which I will replace when I find one.

I will note here that when I started cleaning the mags, I noticed something peculiar. You can barely see it in this picture, but there is only Peregrine Master on the braking surface. Most of the Peregrine mags have "Graphite Composite" molded in the surface below the lip. There is another version out there where Peregrine Master is molded on the surface below the lip without Graphite Composite. After doing some reasearch, I also noticed the Font is slightly different from the "1st Gen" mags. I have deduced from this that since these mags came on this bike from the factory, that this style of mag came on complete bikes only, however I have not verified this.

I replaced the chain with an NOS YBN. You can see the correct pedals in excellent condition. I cleaned up the sprocket as well as I could. It is original, along with the SR Cosmo Lite crank, so I let them be.

I cleaned up the stem and gyro as best as I could, but in the end I did have to replace some of the hardware because it was too badly rusted.

Here is the end product. I think it turned out well for a survivor. There are very few of these red and white Pros left. I have seen pictures of two bikes on the Internet and I own one of them. When I get better outdoor pictures, I will post those up.
